About Us
How Hope, Herb & Oil Came to Be
Hope, Herb & Oil was born from loss, faith, and a deep belief that God provides everything we need for healing in the natural world around us.
When my late husband was battling cancer, we asked his oncologist about alternative medicine. We were told it didn't work - that it couldn't help. After he passed, I began my own journey into herbal medicine and aromatherapy, and I discovered something profound: natural healing does work. It has always been there, woven into the plants, roots, and essential oils that grow in the very soil beneath our feet.
I didn't want anyone else to feel uninformed or without options. I wanted to help others discover what I had learned - that we can take an active role in our own health and wellness, guided by both faith and the gifts of nature.
My Training & What Drives Me
I began my studies at the Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine, where I completed courses in foraging and wildcrafting, and herbal medicine making. I'm currently finishing my Certified Professional Aromatherapist certification (Level 2) at the Institute of Spiritual Healing and Aromatherapy (ISHA), where I've studied anatomy, physiology, chemistry, the history of essential oils, and the art of blending. I am also in the process of registering with the National Association of Holistic Aromatherapy (NAHA) and the American Herbalist Guild (AHG).
But this company is about more than credentials. It's about three passions that define who I am:
HOPE - my faith, which is at the center of everything I create. HERB - the healing power of plants and my Appalachian heritage. OIL - the art and science of aromatherapy
These three elements come together in every blend I craft. My Scripture & Scent Collection honors the oils of the Holy Bible. My Hope Collection reflects the light that faith brings even in our darkest moments. And my Appalachian Collection celebrates the beauty, resilience, and botanical richness of the mountains I call home.
I established Hope, Herb & Oil in the fall of 2025 and launched in February 2026. Every product is handcrafted with intention, rooted in both tradition and training, and created to help you take charge of your own wellness journey.
I believe that everything we need, God has already given us in nature. My mission is to help you discover it.
